At Hi Country Hounds, we keep things simple: we pick up your pup, hike the trails, bring them home happy and tired, and you get peace of mind (and quiet time). Here’s how it works:
1. Pickup
Door-to-door service: We come straight to your home.
You don’t have to be there: Most clients just let us know how to access their dog (garage code, key, door code, etc.).
Safe & secure: Dogs ride in our dog-friendly vehicle with proper harnesses for comfort and safety.
2. The Hike
Group or solo: We match your pup with the right group based on energy, personality, and leash skills, or keep it one-on-one if needed.
Real mountain trails: Not sidewalks. We hike Evergreen, Conifer, Bailey, and surrounding trails.
Live GPS tracking: You can follow along and see where we’re headed.
Professional photos included: Every hike comes with trail shots of your pup doing what they love.
3. Drop-Off
Towel-down & water check: Your pup comes home refreshed, tired, and ready to nap.
You don’t need to be home: We’ll drop them off safely the same way we picked them up.
Updates: You’ll get a hike summary and photos so you know exactly how they did on the trail.

Do I need to be home for pickup or drop-off?
Nope. Most of our clients are at work or running errands while we hike their dogs. Just give us access instructions.
What if my dog has never hiked before?
We’ll start slow with one-on-one hikes or small groups until they’re ready for more.
What if it rains or snows?
We live in the mountains — we hike year-round. If your pup can handle it, so can we.
How do I get started?
Book a Meet & Greet so we can meet you and your pup, go over your dog’s needs, and set up pickup/drop-off access.
