THE FOUNDING PACK

SMALL PACKS.
LIMITED SPOTS.

Our packs are small on purpose. That's what keeps hikes calm, safe and actually fun for the dogs. It also means there are only so many spots on day one.

So here's the deal. Join the list, tell us your town and how many dogs you've got, and you're in the Founding Pack. When we open in Summit County, the Founding Pack hears first and gets first pick of hike days. Your signups also tell us which towns to start with, so if you want us in your neighborhood, get your neighbors on the list too. Peer pressure, but for dogs.

The same HCH hike day that Evergreen and Roaring Fork Valley dogs already know, built for 9,000 feet.

Pickup and return are included. Arrange access ahead of time and you don't need to be home.

03 · WE HIT THE TRAIL.
A full hour on the trail with a small, matched crew. Water, trail manners and a lot to sniff.

04 · THEY COME HOME COOKED.
You get live GPS, photos and a short report. They get the couch.

SUMMIT COUNTY DOG FAQ

GOOD
QUESTIONS.

Are you hiking in Summit County now?

Not yet. We're building the waitlist first so we can open with the right routes and the right local guide. Join the list and you'll hear from us first.

How does altitude affect my dog?

Most of Summit County sits around 9,000 feet, and dogs feel thin air like we do. We set pace by the slowest dog in the crew, carry plenty of water, take real breaks and keep an eye out for heavy panting or lagging. New dogs, and dogs just moved up from the Front Range, start easy.

Do you hike in winter?

That's the plan. Mountain dogs don't hibernate. In winter we'd pick routes for footing and sun, shorten outings in deep cold and wind, and watch paws for ice balls. Booties and coats are welcome, and we'll tell you if your dog needs them.

What about moose and other wildlife?

Summit County has a lot of moose, and moose do not like dogs. Our default is on-leash handling, with plenty of space for wildlife and other trail users. If we spot a moose, we turn around or give it a very wide berth. We watch for foxes, coyotes and the occasional bold marmot too.

What about afternoon storms?

Summer storms build fast up here, often by early afternoon. We'd plan hikes earlier in the day during storm season and keep routes flexible.

Will prices be the same as your other towns?

Yes. Same HCH pricing and the same Trail Club in every market.
