Are you accepting dog hike bookings in Carbondale?
Yes. We are accepting bookings for our new Roaring Fork Valley branch. Sign up through the existing Hi Country Hounds booking page and include your pickup address and requested dates. We confirm local availability and your first outing with you.
Is this the same Hi Country Hounds that started in Evergreen?
Yes. Hi Country Hounds started in Evergreen and is now expanding into the Roaring Fork Valley. Kasey Stokes leads local hikes as part of the HCH team. You get the same booking process, GPS updates, trail photos, and hike reports. Same hiking club, a new part of Colorado.
Do you offer pickup and return in Carbondale?
Request pickup in Carbondale, Basalt, Willits, or El Jebel. We confirm your address and available dates before locking in the outing. Nearby homes are considered based on the route, not a giant circle drawn on a map.
How much do dog hikes cost?
A solo First Hike is $45. A regular 60-minute group hike is $55, with an additional household dog for $20. An ongoing solo hike is $70. Trail Club packs start at $465 for ten credits for one dog. These are the same prices as our Evergreen operation.
How long is the hike, and how long is my dog away?
Regular group hikes include 60 minutes of trail time. A First Hike is a solo 45–60 minute outing. Allow roughly 2–3 hours for the full adventure, including pickup and return; we confirm timing for your local route.
Can a nervous or reactive dog hike with you?
Yes. Every new dog starts solo so we can learn their pace, personality, and comfort. Ongoing solo hikes are available for dogs who need space or individual attention. Group placement depends on compatibility.
Are the dogs on leash?
On-leash hiking is our default. We select routes and group sizes around the dogs, trail conditions, and local rules.
Do you serve Basalt, Willits, and El Jebel too?
Yes. Our midvalley service area includes Carbondale, Basalt, Willits, and El Jebel. Pickup availability depends on your address, requested date, and the route.
Do you offer dog walking, drop-ins, or boarding?
Dog walking and 30-minute drop-ins are available by request, with drop-ins priced at $40. We confirm address and scheduling fit. Boarding is not offered by our Roaring Fork Valley branch.
