Hi Country Hounds is a small, relationship-focused hiking and training service based in the forests and foothills of Evergreen and Conifer. I built this business for dogs who thrive on fresh air, adventure, and structure. Tired dogs are happy dogs, and nothing makes me happier than giving them the kind of days that make them fall asleep snoring in the backseat on the way home.

Who I Am

My name is Casey and I live with my girlfriend Sunny (Owner of Oracle Mountain Cleaning, and Volunteer Firefighter with Evergreen Fire) in the mountains of Evergreen with our dogs Ryder, Mamba, and Enzo. I have spent years exploring local trails, learning dog behavior, and figuring out what truly makes a dog feel safe, fulfilled, and confident outdoors.

My Philosophy

Dogs thrive when they get a balance of movement, structure, and freedom. Every hike is designed to be fun and enriching, but also calm and safe. We keep hikes small so every dog gets personal attention and treat every dog as if they were one of our own.

What Makes Hi Country Hounds Different

We focus on quality instead of quantity. We don’t run large packs and I don’t rush through trails. Every outing is intentional. Every dog’s needs matter. I pick up and drop off from your home, provide live GPS tracking during our hikes, and send photos and updates so you always know how your dog’s day went.

My goal is simple. Make your dog’s life better. Make your life easier. Keep things honest, reliable, and stress free.

Safety and Care You Can Count On

I hike responsibly and respectfully. All outings are on leash for safety. I go off trail to let other hikers and dogs pass. I use seatbelt tethers for clients who request it, and I am currently reinvesting a large portion of my income to purchase a dedicated transport van for even safer, easier loading for older or smaller dogs.
